Objective Kyoto Art Center aims at supporting various artistic activities, providing information about arts, and promoting communication between the citizens and artists through arts.
The Artist in Residence program is designed to enable young artists and researchers to explore innovative expressions in a cross-cultural environment.
It provides artists with support for residency, and production.
Organization activities Our activities include exhibitions, tea ceremonies, traditional stage performances, concerts, dance performances, and various kinds of workshops for training artists and other people related to art, hosting innovative projects for the conservation of traditional arts and creating new ones. We also provide artists from home and abroad studio spaces and “artist in residence program”.

Background The Kyoto Art Center was conceived as part of the Kyoto City’s 1996 policy for promoting arts and culture, which outlined plans, including establishing an art center to encourage artistic and cultural exchange.
Location / Environment Kyoto Art Center lacates on the central of Kyoto city and access friendly. There are museums, galleries, or histrical sites.
