MI-LAB Lake Kawaguchi Artist-in-Residence

Application period Jul. 3, 2020 (Fri.) - Sep. 13, 2020 (Sun.)
Description We are glad to offer you this opportunity to take part in the 2-week Artist-in-Residence program at MI-LAB Studio, which is located in Fujikawaguchiko-machi at the foot of Mt. Fuji. Around 150 foreign artists have learned water-based woodblock printmaking (Mokuhanga) here since 2011.
We usually accept artists from abroad to this studio for our regular AIR programs, but in this 2020, we have to postpone almost all of them to the next year because of the immigration restrictions due to the spread of COVID-19. Therefore, we decided to offer the facility to those artists who live in Japan and want to concentrate on creation of Mokuhanga works as residency in August and September 2020.
Please come and join us!!
