Objective VIPO aims to develop individuals who are not bound by conventional notions and who consider media art in conjunction with science, education, business, and a range of other fields. The ultimate aim for them is to work in diverse sectors and function as next-generation curators and cultural producers that can create new cultures and frameworks.
Organization activities VIPO will host an on-site training program where participants can learn the about the vision, philosophy, and practical methods of Ars Electronica (Linz, Austria). The Ars Electronica Festival is one of the world's leading media art festivals. In addition to management of the festival, participants will experience a range of other activities taking place at Ars Electronica—such as education, research, and competitions—and acquire various expertise and skills in the process.

Background The Program for Next Cultural Producer Incubating Project aims to improve learning environments and support the creative activities of Japanese young creators to raise the standard among individuals who will lead the next-generation of media art.
