Objective To provide artists with a place for creative residency, cultural immersion, and meaningful engagement with local communities
Organization activities To operate an artist-in residence program promoting artistic activities, intercultural exchnage, and regional revitalization
Founded in 2023
Background The project began with the restoration of a traditional Japanese house built in 1870(Meiji 3) in order to revitalize vacant properties in the local community and establish a gallery space.
Location / Environment Kiso Town in Shinshu is a historic post town with the Seki Shrine, located exactly halfway along the Nakasendo road connecting Kyoto and Edo.
