Fujisawa City Art Space (FAS)

Objective The concept of the organization are the following 4 objectives.

1. To support emerging artists in creating, promoting and exhibiting artworks.
2. To provide accessible opportunities for viewing artworks.
3. To provide space for the art production, exhibition and publication.
4. To provide space for artistic learning.

Founded in 2015
Background Fujisawa City Art Space (FAS éfərs) was established in 2015, as the base of creating and promoting the art culture of the city. It has a working studio space, and organize exhibitions that support emerging artists in their art production and promote their artworks. It also runs various workshops and ‘Artists in FAS’ residency program which calls out for proposals and holds the exhibition of the participants achievements.
Location / Environment FAS is located on the 6th floor of a building in the C-X area of JR Tsujido station, the North exit. On the 7th floor of the same building is the Fujisawa Ukiyoe Museum showing the Ukiyoe pictures the city owns. There is also a big shopping mall, a park, a hospital and restaurants nearby.
