Objective -Support and training of designers, artists, and creators
-Increase wisdom and space liquidity
-Feel internal creativity in the “marginal village”
Organization activities -welcome party, and an informal presentation about what you want to do.
-midterm presentation, or open studio, co-creation sessions with people living in the area.
-final presentation, or exhibition.
Founded in 2015
Background 2013, Atsushi Nakahara (a founder of this project) moved to Neo area. He and designers living in the area started “NEO design project” to design life styles in the area.
2015, Motosu City has supported the project, and members of the project founds a co-working space GIDS for creative people. At the same time, we have started “NEO designer in residence” program to invite creative persons from the world.
Location / Environment About 1400 people live in NEO area, Motosu city. It is a typical “marginal village” in Japan.
