| Objective | Center is an artist-run space with hostel in Kanuma, Tochigi, JAPAN. It aims to be a place for expression activities outside of established genres, centered on experimental film and music, and a unique place in the world where a new culture can be fostered. |

| Background | Center opened in August 2022. Center has been organizing independent projects mainly consisting of live performances, screenings, and workshops. In 2024, Center began actively accepting artist-in-residence programs in order to discover local attractions and create alternative networks in Japan and abroad, following a 3-week residency by a filmmaker living in the UK. Open call program has started in 2025. |
| Location / Environment | Approximately 1.5 hours from Tokyo by express train. Located along ginza street, a former shopping street in the old downtown area of Kanuma City, between Utsunomiya and Nikko cities in Tochigi Prefecture. |
