Founded in 2021
Background Originally used as a pediatric hospital, Bridge Studio was left vacant for 23 years. In February 2024, it is reborn as our largest and newest location. There are a total of eight rooms in use across two floors, including a former examination room, waiting room, and living space. The building itself has a unique architectural blend of half Western and half Japanese; it is being carefully renovated to preserve its character and history.
Location / Environment Located a 5-minute walk away from the Silver Temple (Ginkakuji) & tthe Philosopher's Path (one of the most popular icons of Kyoto), and 25 minutes by bus from the city center. Kyoto University is very close by, as well. On top of that, there are many small independent art galleries, book stores, and craft shops nearby.
Notes Focusing on the fields of art, design, and crafts, it is available for use by anyone regardless of background. Depending on the application content, we may conduct interviews or video interviews. If you wish to hold workshops or events, please feel free to contact us.
