| Residency period | April 1, 2027 - March 31, 2028 -Artists can choose duration of their stay over 2 months to 1 year. -Please note that Guest Artist traveling from outside Japan may commence their residency only on or after July 1. -The SCCP will be closed for New Years holidays between December 29 to January 3. During this period, resident artists are required to temporarily vacate SCCP. |
| Qualification | Ceramic artists and artists from other fields who are at least 20 years old at the time of application. For Guest Artist positions, priority will be given to ceramic artists and visual artists who have a clear motivation and purpose for undertaking a residency at SCCP, and who are expected to make a positive contribution to fellow Studio Artists in residence, as well as to the local ceramic community and ceramic industry. |
| Pay by artists / Support for artists | - Accommodation (single room 20,300yen/month、twin room 26,400yen/month) - Open space studio (38,400yen/month, Guest Artists are exempt) - Tecnical support - Travel costs from your place to Shigaraki (applied only for Guest Artist) - Artist fee (200,000yen), material cost (covered up to 100,000yen), and firing cost (covered up to 110,000yen) (applied only for Guest Artist) - exhibitions, open studios, workshops opportunity Details can be found on our website. https://www.sccp.jp/air-en/ |
