Description | The SHORTSTAY Program welcomes any artist to freely use the residence for up to 3 weeks in principle. In exchange for “One Stay,” we ask that each artist in the program present “One Art,” which could be any public work/event – ranging from an exhibition to a live performance – for the residents of Matsudo. The intention behind this program is to foster a give-and-take relationship between traveling artists and the city of Matsudo. We offer emerging artists the ability to gather public exposure for their work and free opportunities for local residents to experience diverse artistic expressions. We accept applications year round. |
