This program is sponsored by the Akiruno City Education Board (ACEB) and operated by the Art Studio Itsukaichi Operation Committee (ASIOC).

This program invites three young printmakers (one foreigner and two Japanese) to Art Studio Itsukaichi for three months while living together. Engage in creative activities.
A print exhibition will be held during your stay. A portion of the work you create will be donated to the city. ASIOC is responsible for selecting invited artists and donated works.

Residency location Art Studio Itsukaichi(300, Tokura, Akiruno City, Tokyo)
Residency period The invitation period of the program is from September 1, 2024 to November 30, 2024 for a total of three months.
Qualification Target field: Printmaking
Invited Artists: Two Japanese artists and One foreign artist will be invited.

● Japanese Artist
  (1) Hold a Japanese nationality and be under the age of 40 in principle.
  (2) The ability for daily conversation in English and a good health condition.
  (3) Cooperation with the other invited artists in the course of collective.
● Foreign Artist
  (1) Hold nationality of a foreign country which has diplomatic relations with Japan and be under the age of 40 in principle.
  (2) The ability for daily conversation in English and a good health condition.
  (3) Cooperation with the other invited artists in the course of collective life and artistic activities.
Pay by artists / Support for artists The invited artists will be supported in the following expenditure.
  (1) Paid total ¥ 255,000 for three months living expenditure.
  (2) Paid air fare for foreign artist at the maximum ¥ 120,000. This will be refunded after the artist's arrival.
Selection process 【Application Procedure】
(1)Artists who meet the above conditions may apply to the program by sending attached application form https://www.city.akiruno.tokyo.jp/0000009152.html) , ten works in the form of JPEG, reference about the works to ACEB by June 12, 2024.
The images of the 10 works should be uploaded and submitted in JPEG format to the Logo form (https://logoform.jp/form/KPgt/569642 ).

(2) Letter of recommendation should be completed by a recommender, or by referable authorities, on the back of the form.

Selection of the artists will be done by ASIOC. The notification along with other necessary
documents and forms will be sent by July 1, 2024.
