Objective EIAF Artist-in-Residence program @7artscafe aims to foster a vibrant exchange of ideas, techniques, and cultural perspectives by connecting local and international artists. We provide a supportive environment that encourages artistic development, allowing artists to experiment, create, and evolve their work in response to their time in Yokohama. Additionally, the program actively engages the 7artscafe community, promoting collaboration and enriching the cultural landscape of Yokohama through shared experiences and creative endeavors.
Organization activities During their one-month residency in Yokohama, artists are expected to engage in activities agreed upon with 7artscafe, which include:

・Workshops: Artists will lead 2-3 workshops that encourage skill-sharing and collaboration at 7artscafe during their residency. ・Exhibition or Performance: At the end of their residency, artists will present their work through a final exhibition or performance, offering opportunities for public engagement and feedback. ・Artist’s Mid-Term Report: Artists are required to submit a mid-term report by the end of the third week, summarizing their experiences, artistic progress, and community interactions. This free-form report will provide insights into the residency’s impact on both the artist and the Yokohama community, helping to improve future programs.
