Description | Program Activities This two-week residence program was carried out in such a way that the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa offered a performance event site, a practice/ rehearsal space, and accommodation; and Toyota Motor bore part of production costs. Toward the culminating the event, this program offers artists opportunities to collaborate with local theater even from the production phase, exploring new possibilities of an original work uniquely characterizing the residency experience in Kanazawa. Outcomes -FY 2009 Yukio Suzuki, Total of 9 artists are invited Residency Period: June 15 - 28, 2009 TOYOTA CHOREOGRAPHY AWARD 2008: Winner’s Performance: “The Edge of Words” (Jun. 27, 28) Producer/ choreographer: Yukio Suzuki Performers: dance company KINGYO (Yukio Suzuki / Nao Ashimine) -FY 2011 Yuuri Furuie, Total of 10 artists are invited. Residency Period: June 20 - 27, 2011 Performance & Talk: June 26, 2017 TOYOTA CHOREOGRAPHY AWARD 2011: Winner’s Performance: “Catch My Beam” (Oct. 29, 30) Producer/ choreographer: Yuuri Furuie Performers: Project Ohyama -FY 2013 Kaori Seki, Total of 8 artists are invited. Residency Period: December 10 - 23, 2014 Performance of new creation "Querevelum Kanazawa Ver." (February 22 and 23, 2014) Direction and choreography: Kaori Seki Performance: Haruka Kajimoto, Yu Goto, Ikumi Kurosu, Kiyotaka Suzuki, Kazumasa Takahashi, Aya Yakushiji, Yui Yabuki, Kaori Seki -FY2015 Mikiko Kawamura, Total of 6 artists are invited. Residency Period : August 24 – September 2, 2015 Preview&Talk “New Creation by Mikiko Kawamura” (September 5 and 6, 2015) Choreography : Mikiko Kawamura Performance : Kanae Kamegashira, Miharu Gotoh, Takashi Suzuki, Reina Sumi, Saki Nagano, Mikiko Kawamura -FY2017 Shintaro Hirahara, Total of 9 artists are invited.
