  • Cabin StudioPěčice, Czechia

    Situated in the rural area of Mladá Boleslav region approximately 50 kilometers north outside of Prague, Cabin Studio is a newly emerging international residency. It is run under the patronage of an established Prague-based theater called Studio Hrdinů. The building is a former gamekeeper’s lodge and it has a strong history. Our main focus are residencies for sonic artists, musicians, and composers as the region is strongly connected to the personality of Czech famous classical composer Bedřich Smetana who also lived in the lodge in the 1880s. Cabin Studio offers space for concentrated work on projects in all stages of development in the disciplines of sonic arts, dance, performance, visual arts and literature.

  • World of Co Artist Residency ProgramSofia, Bulgaria

    WOC Online Artist Residency is hosted by the independent art organization World of Co. The mission of World of Co-Artist Residency is to create a platform for exploration and experiments for artists, to build bridges between international artists, and to support their art practice. The online program is open to emerging and mid-career visual artists, multidisciplinary artists, mixed media artists, painters, textile artists, illustrators, designers, writers, sound artists, curators and art researchers from all around the world. The participants are able to work on specific projects, to improve their portfolios, and move on when you feel stuck and need help. Through active dialogue, exchanging ideas, and critical thinking, the program builds a strong sense of community and artistic collaboration among its participants which lasts after the program ends.   • Boubouki Writer’s Residency ProgrammePaphos, Cyprus

    Boubouki is located in Mesana Village of Paphos district, and right in the centre of one of the most beautiful, natural areas of the island. The residency programme has no restrictions regarding the theme of the writer’s work (starting or in progress), although the produced work is encouraged to have certain influences by the landscape and identity of Cyprus. Residencies at Boubouki can last from 1 week to 6 weeks (or for shorter periods in some cases) and can take place in either November or February (or depending on the cottage’s availability during the whole year). Boubouki can only accept 4 writers/artists per year (1-2 writers/artists at a time). Writers/artists, once accepted and officially invited to Boubouki, are advised to apply for funding from other sources (cultural organizations, Ministries, Embassies etc.).

  • MTÜ KullaauguPõlvamaa, Ahja, Estonia

    Kullaaugu Film and Site-specific Music Residency will bring together musicians and composers with filmmakers from around the world to create music specifically for films or specific environments. The residency will be located at a beautiful countryside village in South-East Estonia 30 km from Tartu – Ahja. Kullaaugu will invite musicians from Europe and around the world. In collaboration with film-, animation- and video artists, and inspired by surrounding environment, original sound design and/or music will be born. Our main goal is to develop Kullaaugu into a high-level Nordic film music residency and well-known event venue among audiovisual art gourmands.

  • hacklab01Zagreb, Croatia

    Hackn3t is an online and physical residency program with the goal of showing the everyday practice of (digital) (new) media artists, coders or other tech creatives. Everyone is invited to apply with performances, artist talks, lectures, workshops that will take place on hacklab01’s own infrastructure and will be archived on the web under a permissive licence or presented in the physical venue of klub MaMa in Zagreb. Grants (artist fees) are awarded for each residential stay. The amount depends on the type of engagement and the duration of the residency. As we do not want to limit the formats but to encourage the diversity of applications, please specify the desired fee in your application. Hacklab01 is a project by AKC Attack and Format C art org, financially supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, the "Kultura Nova" Foundation and the City of Zagreb.

  • ArtMill, Center for Creative SustainabilityHoražďovice, Czechia

    ArtMill is the base of our non-profit organization ArtDialog. Functioning as an alternative cultural space, our Center is a home to an active community of artists, activists, farmers, entrepreneurs and creatives that steward the local ecosystem. ArtMill enables ArtDialog's mission to build cultural discourse through creativity, research, the wider public, experiential learning and education. ArtMill has hosted artists each season to come and have time and space away from urban life to focus on their projects. Our residency program is open to artists in the broad sense of the word: poets, scientists, writers, dancers, musicians, thinkers, creators, farmers, builders, performers or painters of the future. Residencies are a week to a few months in duration and encompass the artist becoming a member of our community and network, whether that be helping out in the gardens, cooking farm-to-table meals, or building a new woodshed.

  • RaumArsRauma, Finland

    RaumArs is one of Finland's oldest artist residencies, where artists from different disciplines carry out collaborative and participatory art projects, workshops, events and performances with local communities and individuals. Over the years, RaumArs artists have worked with schools, art and cultural institutions, and various associations. On request, our partners can offer working spaces for wood or textile work, for example, as well as particularly interesting collaborations within two World Heritage sites. From the beginning of 2025, the association will be based in the newly renovated art house for RaumArs. In addition to the residence, artists will have space for exhibitions.   • Van Gogh AiRZundert, Netherlands

    The restored sexton’s house from Van Gogh’s period is just a stone’s throw from the Vincent van Gogh House. A gallery has been established in this annex. Next to this is a guest studio housing a Van Gogh ‘Artist in Residence’. Artists from home and abroad are invited to work here for a period of time in Van Gogh’s spirit. The results of this are then presented in the Van Gogh Gallery. A second guest studio opened in 2021. This is located in a monumental Flemish barn on Landgoed De Moeren in the future Van Gogh National Park. Here artists work for two months in the natural environment that exudes the atmosphere of Van Gogh.

  • Córtex FrontalArraiolos, Portugal

    Córtex Frontal is a multidisciplinary cultural project created in 2016 by the Cultural Association Córtexcult, in Arraiolos, Alentejo, Portugal. Córtex Frontal organizes artist residencies, workshops and exhibitions on Visual Arts, Performative Arts, Literature & Music. Our goal is to promote and develop cultural projects, establishing a lively dialogue between artists from various disciplines, the local community and the territory. The Córtex Frontal house is a labyrinthic 800m2 house with 9 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, laundry, living rooms, indoor and outdoor dinning area, studios, gallery, patio and garden. The Artist-in-residence program aims to bring together artists from different disciplines for a concentrated period of minimum 4 weeks. The program encourages artists to share their knowledge with the local community and provides a deep approach to the territory.
