  • World of Co Artist Residency ProgramSofia, Bulgaria

    WOC Online Artist Residency is hosted by the independent art organization World of Co. The mission of World of Co-Artist Residency is to create a platform for exploration and experiments for artists, to build bridges between international artists, and to support their art practice. The online program is open to emerging and mid-career visual artists, multidisciplinary artists, mixed media artists, painters, textile artists, illustrators, designers, writers, sound artists, curators and art researchers from all around the world. The participants are able to work on specific projects, to improve their portfolios, and move on when you feel stuck and need help. Through active dialogue, exchanging ideas, and critical thinking, the program builds a strong sense of community and artistic collaboration among its participants which lasts after the program ends.   • CCA AndratxAndratx, Mallorca, Spain

    CCA Andratx is Contemporary Art Gallery in Mallorca, located in a beautiful natural surrounding in the town of Sa Coma (Andratx), 30 minutes drive north of Palma. The Artists in Residence Program emerges as the palpable heart of the centre, playing a central role in the creation and development of a vibrant cultural fabric. Each month, the program unfolds its generosity, offering the opportunity for four international artists to immerse themselves in an environment conducive to creativity. The key to this program lies in the freedom given to the artists, encouraging them to explore, experiment and develop their work without restrictions. This has not only nurtured individual artists, but has woven a network of global connections that transcend geographical and cultural boundaries.

  • L’AlbaCharleroi (Walloon Region), Belgium

    L'alba (Latin 'the dawn'), signifying the "House of Shared Talents", is an artist residence founded by Melanie de Biasio. The house aims to be a place of encounters, simplicity, and exchanges, a playground to broaden horizons. L'Alba offers creators a moment of pause, a warm and benevolent refuge, a laboratory where they can freely experiment with alternate paths, thus allowing the still submerged part of their talent to blossom and "let the imprudence come...", to paraphrase Alain Bashung. There is currently no call for residencies. Instead, we work based on the availability of spaces and the compelling nature of the projects presented at the application stage. Your application is welcome at any time. Four sectors are eligible for the residency: Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Literature and Books, and Heritage. The long-term residency (from 1 to 2 months), the medium-term residency (1 to 2 weeks), and the short-term residency (1 to 2 days) are available.

  • Designregio Kortrijkコルトレイク, Belgium

    Designregio Kortrijk wants to bring talent together in a creative design region to imagine, design and make a better future. Designers in Residence Kortrijk has been organized since 2014 by Designregio Kortrijk, platform for creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship for the Kortrijk region. A region that is part of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) that breathes design thinking, visible through its design schools, creative manufacturing industry, international events and inspiring public space. The duration of the residency programme is three months, with a different theme each year.

  • MGLC – International Centre of Graphic ArtsLjubljana, Slovenia

    The International Centre of Graphic Arts (MGLC) is a museum specialising in printmaking with extensive international collection and a producer of the Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts. Since 2017, MGLC runs a residency programme at MGLC Švicarija, a residency and creative centre, and is the most central and nature-connected residency point in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The residency programme is aimed at Slovenian and foreign artists and art collectives, professionals in the field of contemporary art (focus on visual arts and graphic arts); including critics, curators, writers, who are offered production conditions for work, networking, education and training. The programme International Residencies is intended for artists and other cultural workers from international milieu based on open calls, inter-residency exchanges, project collaborations and curatorial invitations.

  • MTÜ KullaauguPõlvamaa, Ahja, Estonia

    Kullaaugu Film and Site-specific Music Residency will bring together musicians and composers with filmmakers from around the world to create music specifically for films or specific environments. The residency will be located at a beautiful countryside village in South-East Estonia 30 km from Tartu – Ahja. Kullaaugu will invite musicians from Europe and around the world. In collaboration with film-, animation- and video artists, and inspired by surrounding environment, original sound design and/or music will be born. Our main goal is to develop Kullaaugu into a high-level Nordic film music residency and well-known event venue among audiovisual art gourmands.

  • Sodas 2123Vilnius, Lithuania

    SODAS 2123 cultural centre is a self-governing community-based space, operated and curated by the Lithuanian Interdisciplinary Artists’ Association. It brings together creators and researchers from different fields, with practices based on experimentation, developing unexpected formats, and responding to the latest cultural, social, geopolitical and ecological issues. With over 50 artists’ studios, rehearsing studios for bands, offices for design, film and visual arts organisations, exhibition spaces, event spaces, various workshops, a cafe, a public outdoor garden space, a public allotment, and more, SODAS 2123 provides space for a variety of art and cultural disciplines, and each resident of the complex is open to sharing, learning and craftsmanship. The residency programme started in 2021, which invites artists, curators, designers, architects, researchers and other creators. This is a unique residency near the city centre, which provides opportunities for Lithuanian and foreign artists to live and create at the SODAS 2123 cultural complex.

  • Kaunas Artist’s HouseKaunas, Lithuania

    Kaunas Artists' House is a vibrant hub for artistic expression and cultural exchange. The emphasis on presenting emerging artists, fostering new ideas, and engaging in cultural experiments indicates a commitment to innovation and diversity within the arts. The residency programs, including Guest Residencies and Reciprocal Residency programs, play a crucial role in facilitating cross-cultural dialogue and providing artists with the resources they need to pursue their creative endeavors.   • Frans Masereel CentrumKasterlee, Belgium

    The Frans Masereel Centrum is a center for contemporary art, combining an artist-oriented exhibition and production schedule with an international residency program for artists and critics, often with a specific focus on printed matter-at-large. Each year approximately 50 national and international artists, researchers, critics and academics are selected through an open call. The focus lies on development and creation within the field of print. No prior knowledge of printmaking techniques is required. Our principal residency offers individual artists the opportunity to broaden and deepen their own practice through a multiform, print-related project. Also, we reserve the autumn for artist collectives, and master's students at colleges and universities, artistic co-workers, etc.

    The Old School art residency is the first international artist residency program in Bulgaria and accept artists who create in the field of the visual arts (painting and drawing, wall painting, photography, installations, video, filmmaking, land art, etc.) and performance arts (music, dance, theatre). Our residency program is not just an escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city, industrialization and consumer society but it also serves a purpose as a retreat for artists with whom we share our ideas, friendship and wholeheartedness. We believe that in doing so we help with the creation of a new generation of people/artists who have the bravery and courage to challenge and change themselves.
