  • Rupert centre for art, residencies and educationVilnius, Lithuania

Rupert is an independent, publicly funded centre for art, residencies and education. Located in Vilnius, Lithuania, we began operations in 2012. We establish close cooperation between artists, researchers, and other cultural actors through our transdisciplinary programmes and residencies. Rupert's residency programme is for international cultural professionals with exceptional potential to create, experiment, connect, and collaborate. This includes artists, writers, curators, cultural managers, and academics. Selected residents spend up to three months in Vilnius, developing their projects and immersing themselves in the region’s creative sphere. Rupert's curators facilitate connections with the local cultural scene. The team organises studio visits, public presentations of the residents regularly, and collaborations with our alternative education programme by invitation.
